A Few Words About Me

I'm Jane Salem...wife, mom, former teacher with a masters' degree.  I taught students for 25+ years in a public school setting and raised 2 sons. I'm a writer, cyclist, church volunteer, choir singer and gardner for fun. Sounds pretty straightforward, but the journey through the steps of my life has been more winding than straight, lots of ups and lots of downs....and lots of learning along the way.

Steady My Steps is born of the life journey our family shares with our son Alex, who has special needs in the form of a rare metabolic disease that has caused physical challenges. We have steadied his steps by literally holding him up, catching him and being the parents who insist he uses his walker - even when he doesn't want to! The bigger steadying has come by way of our learning and growing through the steadying love of our Heavenly Father… through each rocky step and wild turn and smooth path on this journey.

My hope is that my words and workshops will help individuals and families steady their steps and see life from a new perspective.

Thanks for joining me.

Jane
